Talk To You is a documentary-narrative hybrid short film based on a series of voicemails I discovered from my late grandfather. Exploring the tension of childhood nostalgia and adult regret, the film guides viewers through a recreation of my grandfather's space through a cautious, unfamiliar lens. Shot in one continuous, practical take, the film merges artful visual technique with traditional archival/documentary storytelling. The film was shot in March 2020 pre-COVID and is now in the final stages of finishing and set for an exclusive online premiere later this fall.

Zack Grant is a New York City based director and producer. He makes films, commercials and branded content, and was named to SHOOT Magazine’s 2019 New Directors Showcase. His film SHAKE WITH ME – a deeply personal documentary about Zack’s mom who is an artist living with Parkinson’s disease – screened at the HollyShorts Film Festival and ReelAbilities New York. Zack has worked with some of the most creative advertising agencies and brands in the world, winning awards as both a producer and director including a Gold Cannes Lion for a live streamed interactive slasher film about dead mice puppets. Zack graduated from the University of Michigan, lives in Brooklyn with his fiance and their plants
