Vincent Haycock is an American director, photographer and creative director. His vivid, romantic style is beloved by some of the most influential names in music, fashion and advertising. He came to prominence as the Creative Director for Calvin Harris’ album 18 Months. Over the course of four years, he directed an award-winning series of narrative music videos for the DJ, including ‘Feel So Close’, which won an MTV Moon Man. This led to work with iconic artists including Paul McCartney, Lana Del Rey, Kelsey Lu and Spiritualised, as well as a video for U2 starring Woody Harrelson. Vincent’s work with Florence + The Machine is well-documented and he is sometimes cited as a key influence on the artist’s style. Together, they created ‘The Odyssey’, a nine chapter visual album shot over the course of a year in London, LA, Mexico and the Inner Hebrides. These videos were nominated for three UKMVAs and three MTV awards. It was released as a 47-minute film. In 2019, his video for ‘Dead Boys’ by Sam Fender won Best Rock Video at the UKMVAs and was widely praised for its sensitive depiction of suicide and mental illness. Their next two collaborations, ‘Will We Talk’ and ‘Hypersonic Missiles’, were shot internationally with a large cast of non-actors. More recently, Vincent oversaw the direction of ‘We Will Hug Again’, an international campaign for Zalando shot by four directors in six different countries. He also directed ‘This Generation’, another internationally-shot campaign, this time starring Billie Eilish. He has also helmed commercials for VW, Volvo, Johnson & Johnson, Match.com, and the One Love Foundation. An occasional self-shooter, he also shot two documentaries for Apple to demonstrate the capabilities of the iPhone XS. His latest project is a multi-screen film installation 'Keep On Living' featuring music written and performed by Maxo.
