CRAMPS tells the story of an unexperienced young mind, reflecting over the process of dealing with pain and sorrow. We follow Sofie (15) closely, as she put on makeup. We are jumping between deep reflections and youthful thoughts as she process her secret. We get a feeling of unease. Something is lurking behind the trance music.
Thea Hvistendahl has made her mark with her signature expressions and has won several awards for her music videos and short films. In 2017, her hybrid music/art feature about Karpe (Norways biggest rap duo), Monkey and the Mouth, premiered in Norwegian cinemas. This was her first cinema release and she is currently developing several feature film projects.
