Stuart McIntyre is a Canadian director. Recognised for his reverent depiction of sport and natural rapport with high-profile talent, his work is an exhilarating, high-octane style of realism. Originally working as an editor, Stuart started a post-production company called Bijou Editorial, before a life-changing illness convinced him to pursue his film directing dreams. Using his editing background, Stuart quickly rose to prominence, working with celebrity talent and professional athletes, including Jamie Foxx, Yasiin Bey, Scoot McNairy, James Harden, Lionel Messi, DeAndre Hopkins and Naomi Osaka. He has since worked with high-profile clients including Apple, adidas, NFL, MGM and Louis Vuitton. His first narrative short ‘Carl’s Motel’, starring Scoot McNairy, was selected for the Toronto International Film Festival, Montréal Festival du Nouveau Cinema and the Madrid International Film Festival, where Scoot McNairy won Best Actor. More recently, Stuart directed ‘Greatness Starts With a G’ for Gatorade, ‘Mario Götze’ for Samsung, ‘Stat That’ for Amazon, a series of sports films for Budweiser and Apple Music's, 'Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show with Usher'. He is currently developing several long-form films and series, including a documentary about dialysis in America, a feature film co-written with French actor Olivier Martinez, and a docu-series following rookie players through their first season in the NFL. Stuart grew up in Toronto, and is currently based in Los Angeles.
