Paco’s surreal short film, Coco Beat or The Limitless Value of Snacks, commissioned by San Miguel, charts the dream-like and at times nightmarish journey of a woman trying to retrieve a magical sandwich stolen by a mysterious suited man. Grindhouse in aesthetic, a chase ensues culminating in an Exorcist-esque showdown on a lane of an abandoned bowling alley.
Paco Raterta grew up in a small fisherman town in the Philippines, won a scholarship at the International Academy of Film and Television in Cebu, after which he followed a career in editing, working on commercials for top level brands such as Pepsi, Coca-Cola and Samsung.
