This is a film about the incredible families who run cattle ranches in southern Alberta, Canada and supply sustainable beef to Mcdonald's. Told from the POV of the children, 'From the Ground Up' touches upon the rich history of these ranches and the deep love and care provided to both the animals and the land.
Based in Toronto, Nolan Sarner is an award-winning Writer/Director working in film, TV & advertising. His work has won awards at the Canadian Screen Awards, several international film festivals, and has been shortlisted at advertising award shows. Currently signed with Skin and Bones for Canadian representation, he has recently worked on projects for McDonald's, Canada Post, and General Mills. as clients. He is currently in post-production on his new film 'S-m.' — a darkly comedic sci-fi film — and is in development on a number of long-format projects while continuing to direct commercial projects.
