In 2021, I traveled to Norway to capture the unique landscape, Sami people, Northern Lights, and marine life. Only with a two-person team and no detailed concept, we reached the Seglvik peninsula. The extreme cold, limited amenities, and poor mobile reception were just some of the challenges. Our luck turned when we met Alfred, a Sami tribe member, who became our protagonist. Due to his work as a cook and limited daylight, we had a small time window for shooting. Sustainability was crucial, and we minimized our carbon footprint. Disconnecting from distractions made me appreciate Alfred's way of life and realize the importance of prioritizing the truly significant things.

Nikolas Meyberg was born in Ludwigsburg in 1989. After graduating from high school and studying film in Esslingen, he worked at an advertising agency in Stuttgart for five years. In 2018, he went freelance as an advertising director and has since been shooting commercials all over the world for a wide range of clients such as Porsche, Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, BMW Motorrad, Hyundai and many more. In 2021, he founded BLACK CORRIDOR together with producer Hannes Höhn. Projects in the fields of international advertising, branded entertainment and documentaries are created under this brand.
