Just 8 weeks after the release of his number one album “We’re All Alone In This Together,” Dave and long time collaborator and Director, Nathan James Tettey came together once again to bring a warzone themed narrative for “Verdansk” to life. Shot over 2 days at Nu Boyana Studios in Sofia Bulgaria, the video sees Dave and his peers travel through a journey sparked by conflict. Scenes unfold between a recon room, the visually arresting breach and clear and finally, the extraction. The video includes explosives, military trained dogs and heavy duty weaponry, all captured on an Alexa LF and a phantom camera. “This was probably the most challenging video I’ve ever made, but also maybe the best one. I’m glad we decided to do it in Bulgaria as I think the location helped us bring the narrative to life in an interesting way. I loved working with Dave as always, it’s been great watching him turn into a man who’s also a bit of a visionary genius.” Nathan comments. Launching the video just before his headline show at Parklife Festival in Manchester, the project brought together a highly cinematic visual, complete with a strong and steady performance from Dave himself. Teamed with VFX from Untold Studios and sound design via Echolab, the visual becomes more than just a music video and enters the world of film whilst providing an exciting experience for gamers.
