A showcase of Schnayderman's Autumn/Winter 2022 collection, that tells the story of a foolish man dreaming of love, only to find himself caught in an endless loop of dizzying heights and crushing lows. Is he a dreamer? Is he a fool? Or is he a little bit of both? This is the third collaboration between the brand and writer/director Michael Rendell, and cinematographer Oliver Olsson, both of whom made Schnayderman’s Autumn/Winter 2021 showcase ”The Outsiders” and their Spring/Summer 2022 showcase “In Transit”.
From the tender age of four, until his late teens, Michael Rendell was a self-proclaimed ”character actor” in his hometown of Malmö, Sweden – playing diverse roles such as; a pickpocket; a drag queen and the rear end of a camel in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ”Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat”. Michael retired from acting, and infancy, as he turned thirteen and blossomed into a strapping young man. This was also the year when he made his first short film ”The Shmuck”, a parody of the 1996 movie hit ”The Rock”. Michael studied film directing at the Arts University Bournemouth and has been freelancing as an editor and commercial director since 2010. He’s currently studying Scriptwriting at Alma Education, where he’s developing screenplays for features and TV series. Besides filmmaking, Michael has been studying and performing improvisational comedy since 2018, at Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles and Presens Impro in Stockholm.
