Raised in the damp of the Pacific Northwest, Matthew Swanson left his quiet coastal enclave as a young man to attend film school in Montreal. He then wrote and directed his short "Hiro," which went on to play at film festivals around the world, winning awards along the way, including Best Short at SXSW. His commercial work has been recognized by the Cannes Lions, the One Show, the British Arrows, Ciclope Berlin, D&AD, the Shots Awards, and many more.
