It was an honour to be part of making this film to mark the 75th anniversary of Nascar. Diving into its rich history and reimagining some of the most famous moments was very special. A big challenge was how to reveal each of the different cars from the historical periods. I devised a 'peeling' technique that added to the drama and kept the film in a physical world. The second big challenge was how to incorporate the stock footage of these famous moments and find a way to elevate them and bring audiences a never-seen perspective of them. It was important to treat these stories very carefully in order to bring the fans in and wow them and not have them feel cheated.
