What happens at our neighbor’s house can be a source of constant speculation. We’ve all been there. Distant noises, muffled conversations out of context, cropped images seen through windows, any partial fragment can arise our curiosity and spark our desire for getting the full picture. Something in the Garden is about that desire. A film about vouyerism in which darkness serves as a source of unease and as a hook for our curiosity. It is also about a creature that eats others to become them.
Marcos Sánchez is a visual artist based in Santiago, Chile. He works primarily in animation and painting. He has exhibited his work at galleries and museums in Santiago, Buenos Aires and New York City. He has directed music videos for The Breeders, Claire Cronin and other musicians. His work has won awards at SXSW Festival, Japan Media Arts Festival and ADC NY, among others
