We built the concept out over a frenzied Whatsapp conversation from Maisie's initial idea of 'lots of me swap in and out and make a guy go crazy', and the video is essentially an extended version of that. Fresh off her record being announced, Maisie was once again heavily involved in all stages of the video. What a joy to be able to get instant sign-off on a location, a key prop, a daft joke. We open on Maisie's fictional boyfriend - physically present, mentally absent - as he phone surfs and philanders, before Maisie gets her revenge in a rather elaborate and extended way. Was great working out all the details with MP herself, and I feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to have some real fun with it.
