As a filmmaker, my passion centres around creating work that both educates and inspires audiences, with a particular focus on those untold non-fiction stories from every day individuals. There is such a fixation on the grandeur of celebrity and icon, that sometimes those among us get lost. Ballet & I tells the story of Christie, a dancer who was introduced to ballet at a much later point in her life, as opposed to what is conventional and starting as a child. Having the ability to dance and have that artistic expression saved her life as she discovered ballet at the worst point in her life. I can only hope that Christie's story resonates with audiences and those that may be going through similar difficulties, that there truly is light at the end of the tunnel.
