I’m a cinematographer born and raised in Los Angeles. I’m drawn towards highlighting experiences of connection and visualising emotions to tell the story. I believe the work we do together as filmmakers help heal and increase our capacity for empathy for each other. I love what I do. My years as a photographer grounded my approach as a visual image-maker. My visual training began at Bard College as a double major in Photography and Human Rights which led to my first job working for Susan Meiselas at Magnum Photos. These experiences were so formative in the ways I practise observation that translate into visual description. I’m an AFI alum and a participant of the AFI CIW and Double the Line mentorship programs. Commercial clients include Adidas, Victoria Secret, Lancome, Uniqlo, and Vince. Music videos include work for Rodrigo Amarante, Rozzi Crane, St. Panther, and Cornelia Murr. Recently The Myth, a creative campaign I directed and shot for Wieden+Kennedy dissecting the model minority myth, was featured in AdWeek and AdAge. I surf on small days and hike with my dog Billy around Los Angeles. I’m also a member at California Coalition for Women Prisoner
