in/out are Jean-Philippe Blunt and Thom Humphreys. With backgrounds in film theory and architecture respectively, they met at film school and connected during the undersubscribed experimental film module. Drawn to the more left-field aspects of film and art history, they became interested in work that celebrates the moving image for what it is. Post-production is their playpen, yet their images are always grounded in a captured reality. The result is a precise blend of in-camera imagery and digital manipulation that has a pure, mesmerising quality all of its own.
