The screening is a film made to celebrate the reopening of cinemas following the long confinement linked to the covid 19 crisis.
Hippolyte Cupillard is an animation film director. In 2015, after studying at the Institut Supérieur des Beaux Arts in Besançon, he founded with four friends the TABASSco collective based in Brussels and specializing in animated cinema. He turned to directing in 2017 and began studying at the Poudrière school. There he directed Peupleute (a one-minute film) then L'Île d'Irène, his graduation film, which was selected for the Premiers plans Festival in Angers, the Anima Mundi Festival, Animest and many 'other festivals. It is now shown in theaters thanks to the Short Film Agency's Extra Short offer. After his studies, while working as a decorator on I lost my body by Jérémy Clapin or as an animator on short films such as Genius Loci by Adrien Mérigeau, Je me Gratte by Chenghua Yang or Terra Incognita by Adrian Dexter and Pernille Kjaer, he continues to make films. The screening is his latest creation to celebrate the reopening of cinemas following the long confinement linked to the covid 19 crisis.
