Shot on 16mm and Super8, Nusrat on the Beach explores the elemental relationship between light, color, and movement as Humeysha sings through a softly psychedelic reimagining of the Los Angeles landscape.

Hannah Claire Baker is a Los Angeles-based director, writer, and photographer. Hannah began directing in 2019 after assisting Academy Award & Emmy winning filmmakers Ava DuVernay, Emmanuel "Chivo" Lubezki, & Todd Haynes. In 2019 she was the recipient of a Hedgebrook screenwriting residency for her feature script "Tulum."
