In 2016 director Georgia Hudson was newly sober, newly single & had just become a mom for the first time. That winter, she decided to embark on documentary project that would take years to complete; a culmination of her emotions & fears, transmuted through the stories of strangers living in NYC. These characters guide us intimately through universal themes of what it means to feel, to love, to loose and to cope in the palm of life, death and dreams.
Georgia’s visceral filmmaking interrogates themes of identity, self expression and youth culture on a physical and intuitive level. Her passion for dance, emotion-driven storytelling and the way movement interacts with the camera have been harnessed to create films for Nike, Beats by Dre, O2, Zalando, BBC, Under Armour, P!nk and Loyle Carner. Shots named Georgia their 2019 Director of the Year.
