Gabriel Dugué is a director from Montpellier. After filmmaking training, he founded the rap group “Set&Match” in 2012, of which he also directs the music videos. Six years and 300 concerts later, the group split up and Gabriel returned to his primary passion: making films. Driven by his thirst for new adventures and his musical tastes, he directed a series of videos for Deen Burbigo, Gros Mo, Némir, Alpha Wann, Sopico, and commercials for SKYN, BIOTHERM, HONOR, OPPO, or UBER. His highly appreciated music video for PONE received a Vimeo Staff Picks and the “New Talent” award from the Club des DA. Gabriel collaborated with his friend Hugo Kerr on the independent mini-series “BOUCAN”. Bringing to light short portraits of atypical characters, this local project made a great impression with its fresh direction and innovative tone. Gabriel develops a visual identity full of modernity, somewhere between the authenticity of the documentary look and the dynamic creativity from the music video universe. No wonder the first episodes won multiple awards, such as a “Young Director Award” at Cannes, a “Gold Award” at the Berlin Advertising Festival, a Vimeo Staff Picks, as well as a Gold at the OneScreen Festival 2020. Being passionate by analogical photography and graphic design, he regularly complements his work with a series of photos, computer graphics and illustrations.
