Born in 1999, Fred Gervais is a Montreal-based photographer and director. At a young age, he found interest in the arts through painting, drawing and photography. In college, Fred studied and fell in love with cinema and began making experimental shorts. At 19, Fred was asked to take portraits of the Montreal-based music band, Dear Criminals, and then to direct his first music video for their song, “Lala”. The same year, he directed the first music video for new Montreal artists PL & Wheelie’s “Barbe à papa” and will be shooting a second video for the band this fall. Fred is the set stills photographer and bts videographer for Cannes Grand Prix director Xavier Dolan.
