"I Hate Clothing" is my new :60 spot for High Society, the legendary bespoke suiting company based in Los Angeles, CA since 1968. Over the years, they have made countless custom suits and iconic clothing pieces for everything from Prince's stage outfits to Ryan Gosling's scorpion jacket in Drive (2011). It was an absolute dream working with David Lim and the folks at High Society because they gave me their complete trust and full creative control every step of the way. So much so, that they actually specifically asked me not to share the video concept until the edit was fully complete. Of course getting this freedom meant that I had to push the beautiful absurdity levels to the max, and deliver them a unique yet timelessly funny spot that no one would forget.

Ezra Ewen is an American filmmaker and occasional actor from Madison, Wisconsin, who is currently based in Los Angeles, California. He started making music videos at the young age of 19 and his work was soon being featured all over the internet on publications like Pitchfork, The Washington Post, Vice, Nylon, and The Guardian. He has received five Vimeo Staff Pick honors for his work which is quickly identifiable by its playful sense of humor and imperfect beauty, both of which allow the viewer a unique connection and closeness to his subject matter.
