The beautifully crafted stop-motion music video for Avenged Sevenfold is directed by Chris Hopewell and unfolds like a short film, a stunning and powerful journey exploring the dichotomy between life and death, love and war.

Chris Hopewell is a director and designer famed for his multi award-winning animated films. Recognised with creating original, distinctive stop-motion films for the likes of Father John Misty, Radiohead, Cat Stevens, and Run The Jewels, Chris’ work in music video has seen him pick up several Gold UKMVAs and a MTV Video of the Year Award. Through his graphic design agency Jacknife, Chris has worked with Queens of the Stone Age, Iggy Pop, Stanley Donwood, Interpol, Misfits, Primavera, and many more artists and festivals. Chris is currently in development on a new feature film project.
