This film was one of five films made to launch a non-profit project called In The Black with a mission to create solidarity in the black community. This is in response to the uprisings in America.
The work of Brooklyn-born filmmaker Anthony Prince Leslie—a former skateboarder and classically trained dancer—is imbued with a certain kinetic grace. Anthony has a distinct approach to film and brings his love of movement and abstraction to the lens. He founded Equator Productions in 2017, to create a platform of like-minded creatives. His thoughtful and intentional documentary style narratives speak to the DNA of his creative production studio, as he seeks to highlight and celebrate underrepresented communities. He was recently selected as one of the artists for the 2019-2020 Google Creator Labs.
