Amnesty International approached me to develop an idea based around the title Humanity. Lockdown part 2 was just kicking in in London so I locked myself away and deep dived into image archives to find threads in the chaos. Having something like this to write and edit saved me from myself but also reminded me that the world is still full of so much courage/hope. There were times when I worried that the messaging in the film was too simplistic but no matter how much I wrote and rewrote I always came back to this simple idea. Was such a pleasure to work with my neighbour Daniel Brandt who wrote the beautiful piece of music with Hatis Noit . And my regular collaborators, Time Based Arts, did such a perfect job on the titles.
