Matt Lambert is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer, creative director and curator – whose provocative, intimate, poetic and life-affirming work has achieved cult status.
With over twenty years of industry experience, his work fluidly moves from global commercial work to independent projects he’s been incubating in Berlin for over a decade – the latter being deeply rooted in both queer history and contemporary identity. HIs clients include Calvin Klien, Diesel, Gucci, Adidas, Nike, Instagram, Johnnie Walker, Sephora, Skyn, Grindr, Rick Owens.
Always having one foot in the queer underground, he’s collaborated with countless artists across mediums – including Mykki Blanco, Peaches, Christeene, Hercules & Love Affair and Bronski Beat.
In 2020, he founded VITIUM, to develop and produce transgressive, queer print, film and live performance projects.
Lambert is currently developing his debut fiction feature – following up threads from his recent co-directed docudrama for Netflix, Eldorado, that tells the story of the erased LGBTQ+ history of Berlin 1926-1932. He’s also working on his sixth photobook and building his next stage show at Berlin’s renown Volksbühne Theater, where he currently runs an ongoing film and performance series called SISSY SMUT.
