Executive Producer Jannie McInnes’ dedication to culturally resonant work spans years of experience across multiple formats. At Scheme Engine, she manages the BIPOC-owned company’s roster, focusing on underrepresented talent, with both top-tier directors and the next wave of creative innovators.

A Grammy-nominated producer, Jannie’s projects have been recognized by the Cannes Lions, The One Show, The Clios, D&AD, and the MTV VMAs, among others. In advertising, she has worked with agencies such as Wieden + Kennedy, Droga5, Johannes Leonardo, 72andSunny, and BBDO, and brands like Nike, Google, Meta, Gucci, Prada, Levi’s, Spotify, and GMC.

Growing up in the independent music scene, Jannie found her way to film production through music videos. She has worked with countless artists, including Adele, Rihanna, Janelle Monáe, Alicia Keys, Sigur Rós, The White Stripes, Usher, and Drake. For the multi-Grammy-nominated artist Feist, Jannie served as her Creative Director on Metals, named the New York Times #1 Album of the Year.

Before joining Scheme Engine, Jannie was an Executive Producer at Believe and Revolver, Toronto, a company she brought to international recognition with award-winning music videos.

Jannie served as the Executive Director of the feminist, art and fashion biannual, The September Issues, from 2019 to 2021.
