James Howland is EP/Partner at Rogue, one of the most distinctive and successful production companies in London.
Having created some of the most recognisable advertising campaigns of the past twenty years, Rogue have an impressive roster of directing talent from established destination directors to newly discovered gems.
James started out as a runner in the 90’s at Academy, working with the likes of Jonathan Glazer, Walter Stern, Nick Gordon, Geoff Posner, Stephen Mead and many others. Having moved through the ranks from runner to Producer, he then joined Rogue in 2001.
He has produced work across the Rogue roster in the ensuing years and, over the last decade in particular, has been producing (and latterly EP-ing) for the multi-award winning director, Sam Brown. His favourite moments? Travelling to far away places with the lovely Sam and together working out how to pull those films off!
James has been recognised for his endeavours along the way with four British Arrows Achievement in Production awards.
James became a Partner at Rogue alongside Charlie Crompton and Kate Taylor in 2021 and together they are committed to keep striving for the best at Rogue, from the brilliant directors to the ideas they all believe in, in the years to come.
