At her new partnership role at JOJX, her focus is on expanding the company’s client network, enhancing the directorial craft and fostering a partner mentality throughout the production process.
Her appointment marks a significant step in JOJX’s evolution, particularly in its commitment to prioritizing diversity and inclusion. As the first female partner at JOJX, she is already making strides in bringing more female talent to the forefront, with her first signing being the talented director Madeline Clayton.
Reflecting on her previous roles, Buford emphasizes the importance of being a true creative resource and building long-term relationships based on mutual respect and trust. She joins JOJX from Stink Films, where she was Head of Sales for over six years and helped to cement the company’s reputation as a creative powerhouse. During her tenure at Stink,
Buford has been instrumental in breaking emerging directors into the U.S. market, helping them gain traction and establish their voices within the industry. Her work has contributed to the winning of numerous awards, including multiple Cannes Lions, and she has played a key role in commissioning projects for high-profile clients.
