Peet Pienaar is a South African commercial and vernacular designer with a background in contemporary art, creative director and founder of Mami Wata surf.

Known for his extensive research in design, music and film in Africa and diaspora. He is significantly involved in the development of creating alternative visions and conversations in a decolonised world through design, film and photography. His work has been included in many interational collections including The Smithsonian Institution, Washington, the Stedelijke Museum, Amsterdam, Museum of Design, Zurich and the South African National Gallery.
