Never one to back down from a challenge, Jodie spent her childhood competing as a gymnast, ending in a place on the GB team. From that moment on, it was clear that only one career could satisfy her need for near-constant adversity: advertising.

As Executive Producer and Head of Sales at Radical Media London, Jodie has spent the last 10 years nurturing and developing new directing talent. Before that, she spent two years as Head of Sales at Smoke and Mirrors, and five years in the same role at Bikini Films.

Jodie loves people. Most days she loves advertising. On the other days, she dreams about going on holiday. A lot.

I was born in….
Sussex

I now live in…
Kensal / West London

But if I could live anywhere, it would be…
always London for now (with a house in the country AND Ibiza obvs).

Right now, I’m binge-watching…
The Queen's Gambit / The Crown / Steve McQueen’s Small Axe series and of course my go-to Greys Anatomy to get me through a tough day (it NEVER ends).

The last track I listened to was…
Finally (Danny Krivit / Steve Travolta Re Edit - Kings of Tomorrow. Fat Tony was recently DJing in a fish shop in Notting Hill and played this. I almost cried with joy.

I dream about…
the ocean

The app I couldn’t survive without is…
Instagram and Shazam

Social media is…
A connection

When we can travel again, I’ll be heading to…
The Caribbean

The most important lesson I’ve learned in 2020…
I’m a control freak so learning to let go and not plan things was an important but hard lesson.

The best/worst thing about lockdown was…
The best thing was when we decided to stop homeschooling for a bit and we looked for adventures outside.. it was bliss for a minute there in that bubble.
The worst thing  - spending so much time alone, I’m not good with my own company, I need people.

What the film industry needs is…
More UK funding for young filmmakers.

What I wish I’d known when I was starting my career…
That in 2020 all the fun in advertising would come to a halt.

The best advice I’ve ever been given…
I’m not sure I’ve been given it yet

The film I wish I’d made…
Womb Stories for Bodyform by AMV

My biggest inspiration is…
All of my Mum friends

The person I would canonise is…
My kids’ teachers

If I wasn’t... I’d be…
A Sports Physiotherapist (I was a Gymnast for Great Britain when I was 15 and always wanted to be the physio for the GB Team).

My last meal would be…
My Mum's lasagna

My life philosophy in three words…
Just One More
