Alexander Kalchev
Executive Creative Director
DDB Paris
Alexander has been at DDB Paris for almost 10 years, having joined right after his graduation. Throughout the years, he has produced surprising work in all different mediums and when the medium did not exist, he tried to invent it.
Highlights in his work include campaigns for Wrigley’s, SNCF, Attraction (the first interactive anti-smoking Anime) and Tropicana’s Billboard Powered by Oranges. “The Centaur” for Honda – the first film he directed – was awarded a silver film lion in Cannes. He also wrote and directed the latest worldwide film for Maille called “Memories”.
Alexander’s work has been rewarded at the Cannes Lions, D&AD and all major advertising festivals. In 2011 Alexander was profiled in Creativity’s “Creatives to Know” and in 2014 he was chosen as one of the ADC New York’s Young Guns 12 class. Alexander has sat multiple times on the French ADC jury and all major international juries, including the Cannes Lions and D&AD Film Juries.
In 2015 Alexander was appointed Executive Creative Director at DDB Paris. There, he is responsible for a variety of brands such as Hennessy, Volkswagen, Ubisoft, L’Equipe, Honda, Doctors of the World among others.
