Delivery for Mr. Frogula Vanessa Stachel
Vanessa Stachel likes to move thematically somewhere between spooky ghosts and colourful glitter fairies. She started to make her own films with friends and family when she was in school. In 2020, after studying Communication Design and working freelance as a Motion Designer, she started to study directing at the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Germany. She took part in an exchange programme with the University of Texas and won prices with her spec spots at numerous festivals like "Young Director Award", "Ciclope" and the german and american "Art Directors Club". She’s up for comedy storytelling, fantastic settings, creative world building and has a lot of knowledge concerning animation, especially 2D and Stop Motion.
We were free to choose the brand and product for this spec spot. The special feature of the LG OLED evo TV series, namely to show extremely bright and lifelike images, fitted perfectly with our vampire story. After all, vampires also have a big enemy that shines particularly brightly... Our team really wanted to realize a stop motion film. The effort involved is huge, but as soon as you see the first animated images, the reward for the hard work is all the greater. It took us 6 weeks to shoot "Delivery for Mr. Frogula" in our film school studio.
