Nike, New Fairies The Fridman Sisters
Lina and Maira grew up between their parents' darkroom and art studio in Brazil and established an immersive art directed style after a career in production design.
When she was seven years old, Brazilian olympic medalist Rayssa Leal had her life changed when a video of her landing a heelflip while wearing a fairy costume went viral. Set to the classic Cinderella track A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes, New Fairies pays homage to that moment, as Leal skates through Sao Paulo surrounded by animated friends, while aiming to make skateboarding a more inclusive sport for the female audience. A quote by Rayssa: “I am very happy to encourage other girls to get started in the sport. Skateboarding is a women’s sport too, it’s a sport for everyone. I want other girls to have the same opportunity as me to see their lives and dreams come true through sport. We just need to believe in ourselves and our potential.”
