Ezra Collective, God Gave Me Feet For Dancing Tajana Tokyo
Tajana Tokyo is a Sierra Leonean British director. Her work has an energetic, musical style, influenced by her professional dance career. She came to prominence as a dancer on Janelle Monáe’s Dirty Computer Tour and Beyonce’s Formation Tour, including the now-legendary ‘Beychella’ performance. Tajana carries the discipline of choreography into her filmmaking style, and applies dance principles to light, camera and editing. Exciting and technically dynamic, her films have a way of making audiences feel like they are physically part of the work.
