With a foundation in psychology and early work with youth offenders, Simon + Ben possess a deep fascination of human behaviour and the complexities of the human experience.
Their work blends cinematic flair with a documentary approach, crafting stories that showcase human connections and universal truths.
CALM set out to create a film that not only highlighted the breadth of services they provide in the fight against suicide but did so through a compelling and emotionally resonant storytelling device. Our goal was to strike a hopeful tone, seamlessly weaving together multiple narratives that built towards a powerful and intimate moment between two individuals. The film was elevated to something truly unique thanks to the generosity of New Order, who gifted us their iconic track, Your Silent Face, adding a layer of depth and emotion that is hard to get right.
