Nike, Ajumma Energy Sandro Rados
As the grandson of a documentary filmmaker and photographer, Sandro was immersed in visual storytelling from an early age.
While attending the College of Art and Design in Zurich and working as a production and casting assistant on various film productions, Sandro began directing his own films. He went on to study directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg and the Korean National University of Arts in Seoul, where he broke through with a spec film for Ecosia. This film was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick and earned him the Young Director Award in Cannes, a 1.4 Award in London, and a Golden German Advertising Film, Spotlight, and ADC Award. Additionally, he was recognised as a new directing talent by the Ciclope Awards in Berlin.
His latest short film, co-funded by ARTE, was nominated for the German Short Film Award and screened across Europe and the United States, paving the way for his narrative storytelling, all while maintaining his passion for capturing short stories with stunning visuals.
