Director Raine Allen-Miller’s sensational 2024 spots for RSPCA ‘Respect’ and Make My Money Matter ‘Oblivia Colemine’ – along with her fantastic first feature ‘Rye Lane’ affirmed her reputation as one of the UK’s brightest filmmaking talents. Raine’s films (commercial and narrative) spark with vivacity via bold use of colour, abundant joie de vivre, and plain cheek – ensuring audiences can’t help but connect to her films. As shown by Peckham-set, romantic comedy, ‘Rye Lane’, which was both hugely popular and an international critical hit. Having premiered at Sundance Film Festival, the film was later nominated in the Outstanding British Film category at the BAFTA’s, and secured multiple nominations at the BIFA’s, London Critics’ Circle Awards. Further highlights on Raine’s commercial reel, include: Three ‘Live Your Best Phone Life’ and ‘I Can Do Anything’ for Virgin Media, and ‘I’d Rather Get Paid’ for Secret, which addressed the gender pay gap. As well as spots for TurboTax, Squarespace, Spotify, Pepsi & Nike Japan. A former creative at Mother, Raine broke through with ‘Storm’ by Salute – a celebration of immigration in the wake of Brexit, followed by her BFI London Film Festival-premiering short, ‘Jerk’.
