Color Me Martin de Thurah
At midnight on the evening of New Year ’04-’05, Martin de Thurah - once a member of a hacking group, a watercolorist, painter, photographer - decided that he wanted to try direct his own projects in film, now was the time.
A week later, the Danish director was asked to direct a music video, and that particular video changed the trajectory of his career.
“I wanted to make something frightening, and I know it is very hard to create a film in which someone was physically penetrated by their own anxiety, In a gentle way, with a lot of love and the possibility of healing,” Martin de Thurah says of his new short film Color Me made with music by American musician Active Child.
