Internationally-revered director, Kim Gehrig has won countless awards for telling universal human stories imbued with trademark honesty and wit. Twice-winner of the DGA’s Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Advertising prize and the Cannes Lions’ Grand Prix, her technically inventive, socially-pioneering commercial work has played a significant role in shaping culture over the past two decades. Kim’s ‘The Greatest’ Apple spot challenged stereotypes about people with disabilities. Her epic Nike campaign film ‘Am I A Bad Person?’, which features LeBron James and Serena Williams among other stellar athletes such as Kylian Mbappé, reveals what it takes to become the GOAT. Her irreverent Libresse commercial ‘Viva La Vulva’ was recognised for its liberated portrayal of female anatomy. Her celebrated Sport England campaign ‘This Girl Can’ inspired over 2.8 million women to take up a new sport. She also helmed the essential ‘Life Needs Truth’ for The New York Times. Harnessing her keen musicality, Kim directed ‘Play It Safe’, a majestic multi-award-winning ode to the Sydney Opera House, and served as creative director for Apple Music’s Rihanna-centric Super Bowl campaign. Her music video for Chaka Khan’s ‘Like Sugar’ is an avowed dance classic.
