Bambie Thug, Hex So Heavy Kassandra Powell
Kassandra Powell is a London-based filmmaker who works in music and fashion video production.
Over the years Kassandra has passionately built her strong underground aesthetic and portfolio through documenting as a videographer and also host/persona for East London's and Los Angeles subculture club scene.
This led her to work with some of the best nightclubs, performers, and artists such as Icona Pop, Bimini, Tayce, Bambie Thug, Talia Mar, Girli, Hey, Baby! Plan B, TroyBoi, Brooke Candy, Jodie Harsh, and many more.
Her work has been featured in many publications such as Vogue, Hunger, I-D, Vice, Kaltblut, Clash, Attitude, Gaytimes, Kerrang!, and many more.
Creating the music video for Bambie Thug was a dream brief to create 2 contrasting worlds for such a visually creative artist. It’s my second collaboration with the Irish Eurovision star, and we ventured into the experimental "Ouiji Pop" genre, blending eerie electronic beats with highly crafted, haunting visuals. With limited resources, we focused on in camera techniques, innovative art design and creative lighting to create an otherworldly, dreamlike atmosphere. The quick shoot and resourceful approach pushed us to be inventive, and the result is a video that mirrors the song's dark, playful energy while maintaining a raw, artistic edge.
