Jack and Steph are childhood friends and view film as their way to communicate their thoughts and ideas about the world and their place in it. Their intense collaborations have spanned various art forms including film and music.
The song and subsequent video use Jack and Steph's similar yet differing childhood memories as a jumping-off point to explore how a new point of view can cause estrangement and alienation based on someone's upbringing.
