EVOL is a story about love and its darker, more complex sides. It's not just about the joy and beauty of love, but the challenges, mistakes, and emotional turmoil that come with it.
In this film, I wanted to explore the internal battles we face when love becomes a mirror, reflecting back our insecurities, fears, and unresolved pasts. Through the character Dolly, we see how love can be both an empowering and destructive force.
At its core, EVOL is about self-discovery and the sometimes painful truth that love doesn’t always follow the narrative we expect. It asks: How do we love when we’re still learning to love ourselves? And how do we cope with the consequences when love exposes our deepest vulnerabilities?
I’m excited to bring this deeply personal story to life, hoping it resonates with others who’ve experienced the complexities of love in all its forms. I lost my own identity through repeating patterns in relationships. Eventually, I found the courage to put myself first, and through EVOL, I hope to inspire others to do the same.
