Director and photographer Frankie Spence creates illuminating and relatable tales that convey universal truths about human character traits and relationships. A graduate of LCC, Frankie’s graduation short ‘Mother is the Name of God in the Eyes of a Child’ screened at Tate Lates and was shortlisted for Ciclope's Student award and at the previous 1.4 awards. The poignant depiction of a single teen mum and her daughter sensitively explores the complexities of single parenthood and their impact on children raised in such households. The South Londoner has previously shot for the likes of Patagonia, Nike, New Wave Magazine and Netflix as well as capturing its on the streamer’s hits including, Sex Education and Supacell. While her latest documentary short Those Who Dream screened at Young Space. Additionally, Frankie recently co-founded All Things Scene – a dynamic creative platform dedicated to cultivating a vibrant community through casting, events and the arts.
