Director's Works

Eren is a film director and editor based in London. Eren's work holds a primary focus on observational documentary; subverting and reimagining cinematic form and image. Spanning both the commercial and documentary spaces, Eren conceptually examines, most distinctly, underrepresented voices and societal issues.
HoMie is a Melbourne-based streetwear label and social enterprise, donating 100% of its profits to support youth affected by homelessness or hardship. One of its impactful initiatives, The HoMie Pathway Alliance, is an eight-month paid education and employment program designed to empower these individuals. This film was created in collaboration with alumni of the program and aims to foster greater awareness and empathy for youth experiencing homelessness as they navigate life in our cities, often unseen. I hope the film encourages audiences to view these individuals in a new light and recognise the vital importance of initiatives that drive meaningful change. Working alongside cinematographer Samuel Kostevc (2022 1.4's 'On the Cusp of Greatness' longlist recipient), Samuel and I adopted a vérité approach, visually conveying the alumni's emotions associated with their lived experiences. This film is dedicated to those inspiring individuals — Ariel, Azlen, Ben, Harley, Jae, Liz, Xander, and Zac — all proud alumni of HoMie's program.
