Director's Works

Khaite, Faces David Findlay
Writer-director David Findlay’s gift for portraiture infuses his storytelling with a documentarian intensity, which he balances with stylized lighting and a highly polished aesthetic.
Born and raised in Quebec City, he studied film at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Today, his body of work includes short films, commercials, and music videos. In 2020, David ranked silver at the Shots Awards for New Director of the Year. Two years later, Vimeo named David Creator of the Year. David’s narrative short film, Lay Me by the Shore, earned the highly esteemed Young Directors Award in 2023. The film was also screened at the Berlinale and TIFF.
