A highly accomplished maverick – the spirit of gleeful, technicolour adventure infuses every technically on-point piece on director, editor and creative director, Dan’s dynamic reel. His jaw-dropping, foot-stomping collaborations with Kerwin Frost for Adidas are unforgettable as is a tripped-out Beats by Dre spot ‘The Cosmonaut’. His Jayson Tatum-starring Nike Jordan spot forefronts his extraordinary skill at effectively blending live, animated and AI-generated footage. And an Aquarabia x Qiddiya commercial showcases his infectious sense of humour. Described by HypeBeast as 'redefining what cool rap music videos look like', the LA-based filmmaker’s high-octane promos, such as those for Joji, Charli XCX and A$AP Rocky, display his warped comedic sensibility, 3D VFX wizardry and 90s nostalgia. Singular though he might be, Dan’s creative studio Grin Machine is an avowedly communal enterprise with close collaborator, Cole Kush, whose immense animation toolkit often plays a pivotal role in conjuring these vivid new visual realms.
